My best friend and I were thrilled that they were coming close to us, so we decided to drive 4 1/2 hours to Chicago to see one of our favorite bands. The event took place at Aragon Ballroom, located in the middle of Chinatown, which gave it a spooky vibe. Although the facility itself was nice, the area surrounding it was not great. The venue was overcrowded with poor ventilation, exacerbated by a fog machine and the heat from the sweaty crowd, making it difficult to breathe. Despite our excitement to see Danae Hays perform, I was let down by the short duration of the show. I spent $120.00 for 2 tickets and a long drive only to watch a 2-hour performance, leaving me very frustrated. The band should consider playing longer sets if they want to maintain their fanbase. Overall, it was not a positive experience and I would not return to Aragon Ballroom.
